Sleep Underwater in the Maldives

Sleep Underwater in the Maldives
Ithaa sits five meters below the surface of the Indian Ocean, encased in plexiglass and reached by descending a spiral staircase. The restaurant offers breathtaking views and 'fusion Maldivian cuisine' (local cooking with a western twist), and rumor has it that over lunch the place is so bright that guests and staff have to wear sunglasses (they even keep spares on hand and offer a sunglasses cleaning service). Sounds wonderful, although I imagine seeing the sun rise while eating breakfast in bed is even better.

Blue-Footed Boobies, Blue-Footed Booby Pictures, Blue-Footed Booby Facts - National Geographic
Blue-footed boobies are aptly named, and males take great pride in their fabulous feet. During mating rituals, male birds show off their feet to prospective mates with a high-stepping strut. The bluer the feet, the more attractive the mate.
These boobies live off the western coasts of Central and South America. The Galápagos Islands population includes about half of all breeding pairs of blue-footed boobies.
Like other boobies, blue-foots nest on land at night. When day breaks, they take to the air in search of seafood, sometimes fishing in cooperative groups. They may fly far out to sea while keeping a keen eye out for schools of small fish, such as anchovies. When their prey is in sight, these seabirds utilize the physical adaptations that make them exceptional divers. They fold their long wings back around their streamlined bodies and plunge into the water from as high as 80 feet (24 meters). Blue-footed boobies can also dive from a sitting position on the water's surface.
Blue-footed boobies also use their webbed feet to cover their young and keep them warm. When a typical brood of one to three chicks hatches, both parents feed and care for them.
All half-dozen or so booby species are thought to take their name from the Spanish word "bobo." The term means "stupid," which is how early European colonists may have characterized these clumsy and unwary birds when they saw them on land—their least graceful environment.

AT THEIR BEST they are healing force that brings people together--AT THEIR WORSE, they are psychic vampires, able to manipulate and drain the life force of those closest to them.

The World's Smallest Seahorse
Posted by PrinCess zID at 12:03 AMSatomi's pygmy seahorse, endemic to Indonesia, is one of the world's tiniest seahorses. Two adults would fit head-to-head across the face of a penny and their offspring are each about the size of a 12-point apostrophe.

At under half an inch tall (13 millimeters), Satomi's pygmy seahorse -- named after dive guide Satomi Onishi -- is a strong contender for the world's smallest seahorse. With their tails stretched out straight, two Satomi's pygmy seahorses would fit head-to-head across the face of a penny.
These miniscule seahorses from Indonesian reefs have been seen giving birth to tiny offspring, each about the size of a 12-point apostrophe.
Together with two other species, Satomi's pygmy seahorses were named in a December 2008 study.

Posted by PrinCess zID at 1:30 PMmy mama used to said, i'm daddy little girls. when i was small, a baby still, i refuse to sleep anywhere else except on my papa's laps. then only i have my baby-sleep-time. to think about it now make me feel odd, real odd because i'm not that close anymore to him. i feel SAD. what had happen to make me such a keep-your-mouth-shut daughter nowdys. i just feel not talking, because i feel it's not worth it, because i think he didn't even listen to me. all this time i feel fine dealing this matter this way. but not anymore, i think i'm not being fair. because i hurt my papa's feeling by doing so. so i'll try to talk a bit more, respond a bit more. forgive me for all my mistakes. i love you, papa, yours daughter truly----

Posted by PrinCess zID at 11:44 AMla amor
Posted by PrinCess zID at 12:48 AMwhat is LOVE? never truly understand how it actually work out. strange and come when you least expected it. for some it may never come at all, or maybe they just to blind to see what's in-front of them and patiently waited for someone who's so not worth it... i don't know guys.. there's simply no one true, real definition on LOVE. what you should be aware when you're meeting someone new .. there's no guideline.. i'll repeat--- NO GUIDELINE! nobody say it will be a bumpy ride, what is left to discuss? should you listen to the little voice at the back of your head, or just listen to what the heart have to say.. so >my point is LOVE give you a headache< and if you lucky enough, butterflies may invade your stomach and suddenly you drift away to cloud9....
